Task Two: What makes a good, varied academic bibliography?
You have three bibliographies
You are going to discuss each of them and decide which
is best and which is worst and, most importantly, WHY.
FIRST: In pairs, take a look at Bibliography B.
Half class look for +ve, half –ve.
When you are assessing each source on a bibliography,
what information do you look at? And why?

Task Two: What makes a good, varied bibliography?
• You have three bibliographies
• In your pairs you need to discuss and decide which is
best and which is worst and, most importantly, WHY
• Think about the things we’ve just talked about –
currency and authority of each reference, as well as
relevance to the topic.
• Look out for keywords within each reference that
relate to this in your bibliographies
