St. Mary PTO - Pennies for PlaygroundPay Our Loan Off campaign:

The time has come to bring in all the coin & bills you have been saving since the fall, and get ready for our Pennies for Playground Pay Our Loan Off spring campaign.

It begins on Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21 (mornings only).

This time ANYTHING GOES (coin & bills), and the class that brings in the most moneywill have a pizza party hosted by the PTO. (The time & date of the party will be determined, once we speak with the teacher of the winning classroom).

We will need parent volunteers to count money every morning, immediately followingprayer, beginning around 8:40 am. If you are able to help, please email CindyMajlinger, PTO Treasurer, at [email protected] . Remember, all volunteer time willgo towards your required service hours for this school year.

We are nearing our goal, but still have some work to do. If we are successful in payingoff our $4,000 loan, and if there are excess funds, we would like to purchase a benchand trash container for the playground area.

The victorious class will be mentioned during the Friday, March 21 st afternoonannouncements.

As always, on behalf of your St. Mary PTO we thank you, your children & the staff for participating in ourprogram.

    Can we meet our school-wide

    goal of reading 40,000 pages?

YES WE CAN!Beginning March 3 March 28, our entire school will participate in March ReadingMonth. Our goal will be 40,000 pages.

During the month, classes will be asked to submit a short persuasive essay, to Mrs.Stager, explaining what she should do if the school meets our goal of 40,000 pages.

Mrs. Stager will review all essays submitted, and the class and/or individual whosubmits the most convincing essay will win. Of course, the subject must remain

practical. Mrs. Stager will not jump out of an airplane!

Your homeroom teacher will instruct you on when you should begin your short essay, however, all are due by Friday, March 28.

Are you up for the challenge, Mrs. Stager?
