chose to put it in paper format this week. Please remember to check theRocket online weekly.
Elections will be held at the end of April for three vacancies, two year terms, on theAdvisory Committee. This group is made up of school parents and parishioners who
meet monthly with the school Administrator to discuss issues including fundraising and
promoting the school. If you are interested please submit a short bio to the school
officeor email to [email protected] by April 11th.Open House is tomorrow, Thursday, March 27 from 5:30-7PM. A pasta dinner will be
served (no charge) to anyone attending, activities for children will be available, the tech lab
will be open (with Tech Club demonstrating!) and teachers will be available to answer any
questions you have. There is a sign-up on the front page of the website to bring desserts
(for 1 service hour credit).
Bring a new family to Open House and you will receive $100 off your tuition
for 2014-2015 ($200 maximum)
Since were talking about thewebsite - remember that ALL of our information is housed
there. We have Scrip, Rocket Reviews, sign-ups, School Calendar, Twitter updates,
Morning Prayer videos, important updates, and MORE! Please check it often so
youre up-to-date on the amazing things happening in our school.
2014-2015 Registration forms were also sent home today with the oldestchild in the family. Return your registration by this Friday, March 28 and receive a credit for
5 service hours next year AND your registration fee waived. Return it by May 1 to receive acredit for 5 service hours.
Lastly, we have sent home financial aid packets with the oldest student in each family. These
forms are CONFIDENTIAL and are only seen by the Archdiocese. Financial aid can help
you AND it helps the school. Many of our programs (including Title I) are determined by
how many of our students receive some sort of tuition assistance. The assistance is there,
you just need to apply! You can also fill out an application online and submit it directly to
the AoD. These applications are due by April 15, 2014 for the 2014-2015 school year.

PTO - Pennies for Playground News THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
After an exciting week, the St. Mary PTO would like to send out an enormous thank-you to all of the students, parents, teachers & staff for such a great response to ourPayback the Loan spring campaign. In just one week we raised $1,476.79, and thisalong with the other money we have been earning, is now enough to pay back our loan!
We would also like to thank the teachers for their flexibility and allowing us to (quietly)enter your class to retrieve the container daily. We certainly appreciate all of you, andwhat you do for our children of St. Mary School.
Congratulations to Mrs. OConnells 3rdgrade classroom who won the pizza party thatwill be sponsored by the PTO.
However, everyone is a winner because the PTO promised the entire school a specialtreat if we reached our goal, which we did. Sometime in the next week, everyone will
enjoy a goodie during their lunch hour.
I would personally like to say THANK YOU to the coin counters that volunteered:Jenny Marcon, Angela Puente & Sequoya Szczechowski. We could not have had asuccessful week without your assistance.
Dont forget, we are still collecting cans & bottles outside of school until the end of theschool year. We hope to raise enough funds to purchase a trash receptacle & bench forthe playground, so continue to bring in those returnables and let us take care of themfor you.
Cindy Majlinger, St. Mary PTO Treasurer

SAVE YOUR CANS & BOTTLES
and BRING THEM TO ST. MARY SCHOOL
The PTO bottle drive is in full swing and we appreciate your participation. Please
continue to bring your cans & bottles (cans & bottles onlyplease) that have been
accumulating in your garage and leave them at St. Mary School. We will be more than
happy to take care of them for you. There is a large green container marked Bottle
Drive in the back of the school, and all proceeds will benefit Pennies for Playground.
Tell your family, friends and even neighbors and spread the news. Our bottle drive will
continue through the end of the school year. If you have any questions, please email
PTO Secretary, Maureen Brinker, at [email protected]. Thank you for your
continued cooperation.
Finally, the PTO would like to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to Bill Brinker for all of
his assistance during these past few months. We could not do this without you!
