“I paint because it’s in me to do, just as the lion roars and the cricket chirps. I’ll awak-en people with creative expression and bring art to everyday people, believing that we should hold his truth to be self-evident; all are created sacred, endowed with an in-alienable right to greatness.
“John Thomas Moore, “Jahni” born June 20, is an African-American artist and art collector. As an artist he has gained acclaimed in the United States and Colombia, South America having done several works in the hometown of famous Latin artists Pe-dro Nel Gomez and Fernando Botero. The artist has won many awards for both cre-ative and humanitarian accomplishments. He believes that creativity should be an inte-gral part of any effective educational (the root of a nation) and healing process.
Social commentary is a central theme to his artwork. On one side are intricately hauntingly detailed charcoal works on paper contrasted with vivid paintings in near living color. In 1999 he did his first “professional” mural at Earlyworks Children’s Mu-seum. The piece is still on exhibit today. What do you get when you take creative chefs, community planners, home decorators, beauty consultants, home decorators, a bus loaded with video games and liquid nitrogen?
You get the Grand Opening of Real Estate Row. Bringing together home builders and contractors from mul-tiple companies, alongside lenders, designers and suppliers the Davenports, Chastity and Daniel have accom-plished a momentous task.
An entrepreneurial spirit can be sparked sometimes by the smallest source and grow into a great flame.
With a bright entry way, one has to only step through to see the phrase, “Here’s where it all starts...”.
With each section designated by the words across the threshold, terminals can be found along one side while across the building a full commercial demo kitchen can be found.
The opening day also had tables from XS Energy with Mital Modi and her team along side the ladies from Mary Kay, an essential oils vendor from Tennessee and even the team from over at Subzero Ice cream of Madison. Getting there early, as the magic was starting, I could feel the energy and excitement. As the vendors set up, the snow cone stand was setup. The first chef was busy in the kitchen setting up for the first demo of the day. Live music was provided throughout the day as well as trays of fruit, meat and pinwheels for those just passing through.
The lucky first VIPs were treated to a sumptuous meal complete with soup, wine chicken and dumplings and fresh cornbread. The team from the Washington Street Cafe food truck arrived to feed everyone

unable to get into one of the VIP cooking demos throughout. As the adults were busy inside networking and checking out the alcoves, out front was the Game Truck helping to entertain the kids and keep them out of the sweets like those supplied by Hamley Bake Shop, although if you get the chance their Pina Colada bites and Espresso cupcakes are awesome.
With various skilled chefs prepping, cooking and showing their edible creations to visitors and vendors alike through out the day kept the energy high as did the over 20 giveaways. With plans for regular showcases each month, we can hope that this wonderful and unique space sets the standard for cooperation in the business and entrepreneurial environment for more than just those who help us build, maintain, decorate and fill our homes and lives.
