Purposes
Since our formation in 1992 our purpose has been to receive, administer, and disburse funds for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, all for the public welfare.
What we are
The charitable arm of the Rochester Rotary Club is the Rochester Rotary Charities, Inc., a separately organized 501(c) organization.
Non-commercial, non-sectarian and non-partisan
What we can’t do
Cannot benefit any member or their family members
Cannot use money to influence legislation, or to support a political campaign
Members cannot share in the distribution of any of the corporate assets on the dissolution of the Foundation

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.
