“With the automation of administrative, non-value-adding processes, companies are opening up a new dimension of efficiency and resource allocation.”
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Günther Schuh Director of FIR e. V. at RWTH Aachen University
“Robotic Process Auto-mation not only contribu-tes to a higher efficiency of the company, but also to a more diversified task organization of the employees.”
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Stich Managing Director of FIR e. V. at RWTH Aachen University
“Robotic Process Auto-mation makes it possible to utilize the conside-rable savings potential in operating costs and thus sustainably ensure competitiveness.”
Prof. Dr. Mischa Seiter Managing Director of IPRI International Performance Research Institute gGmbH
Discover efficiency through process automationRobotic Process Automation:
• Every company spends resources on processing non-value-adding business processes.
• Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enables companies to significantly reduce operating costs in almost all sectors through software-supported processing.
• By implementing RPA solutions, routine tasks are not only performed faster, more reliably and more cost-effectively. In addition, the staff capacities that become available can be deployed precisely where human skills are required.
Discover for your company, …
• ... how administration tasks can be handled efficiently and reliably using Robotic Process Automation.
• … how companies can use RPA to intelligently optimize their internal business processes and thus create time for value-adding activities for their employees.
• … what requirements the implementation of Robotic Pro-cess Automation places on the employees and the organi-zational structure of your company.
• … how cultural and organizational changes support the implementation of automation solutions and which approa-ches are best suited for your business.

Learn from the best! How does consortial benchmarking work?
• The consortial benchmarking consists of consortial partners and benchmarking partners.
• The consortial partners decide on the main topics of the benchmarking together with the FIR and the IPRI.
• The FIR and the IPRI carry out the benchmarking with the benchmarking partners.
• With the evaluated benchmarking results, the successful-practice companies out of the group of benchmarking partners are identified.
• The consortial partners, the IPRI and the FIR visit the successful-practice companies.
3Questionnaires are handed out to ca. 3,000 companies
First selection of approx. 25-30 interesting companies
Visits to successful-practice companies
Conducting a questionnaire-based survey on
“Robotic Process Automation”
Identifying companies with interesting approaches to the implementation of
Robotic Process Automation
Selection of particularly successful companies to undertake
five company visits

Your benefit...
• You benefit from FIR‘s and IPRI‘s expertise in the areas of business transformation and intelligent systems as well as FIR‘s many years of experience in conducting benchmarking studies.
• Via direct contact to successful-practice companies you get the opportunity to exchange valuable knowledge and experi-ences and take away practical suggestions for your company.
• You get the possibility to share experiences and opinions with the other consortial partners.
• You establish valuable contacts to other companies of the consortium that can last for much longer than just the duration of the consortial benchmarking.
... and effort
• The contribution for each consortial partner is 25,000,–EUR (plus VAT).
• Included in this are the expenses (excl. travel costs) for the project and project documentation for 2 persons from your company.
„By visiting the companies, we provide the consorti-al partners with insights into the working methods of companies that are already successfully automating their administrative processes with software robots. Our con-sortium partners thus have the opportunity to derive suc-cessful concepts for their own companies.
Prof. Volker Stich, Managing Director FIR

Possible key questions
The key questions are developed together with the consortium and adjusted to the needs and individual questions of the companies.
• What is the ROI of RPA implementation?
• How can business processes be prepared to ensure efficient automation?
• What influence do your own process structures have on the introduction of RPA?
• Where should responsibilities be located and which tasks are assigned to the company‘s IT?
• What are the demands of internal stakeholders?
• What risks are involved?
• How do the task spectra of the employees change?
• How can we create acceptance for the introduction of RPA?
• How must a concept for the introduction of RPA be designed?
