    ENVIRONMENTAL SCANNING

The fruits after being plucked are sent to factories .the

automated system collect video image from the CCD

camera placed on the top of a conveyer belt carrying

fruits, then it process the images in order to collectseveral relevant features .

The problem we find is, it is loss to the farmer because

total number of diseased or rotten fruits will reduce his

income hence correlative actions can be taken at farm

    level itself.

    Pros

It increases the income of farmer since detection and monitoring is done at

    the growth stage itself.

Detection of pests is done at the growth stage itself so crops can be treated

with the pesticides and the rotting of fruits can be avoided.

    .

Reliable, low cost and it is affordable.

    Customers get good quality fruits.

Since monitoring is done at the growth stage itself, there is no necessity of

    monitoring after plucking of fruits.

It reduces labours in turn it reduces farmers expenditure.
