Introduction

This document describes the types of print-outs roaming audit can process in order to audit the roaming configuration. Not all reports are required. Operators can achieve the same results using different features.

IMSIGT (MSS)

IMSIGT – This is the IMSI to MGT translation

Requirement This is based on the IMSI ranges of RPs

Required definitions per node 300-600

Frequency of change Normally only when RPs are added, removed or modified

SCCPGT (MSC/MSS)

SCCPGT – The Global Title analysis is checked for both NP1 & NP7

Requirement For NP1 this should include all the network node global title ranges of RP. For NP7 this should include MGT Ranges of RPs

Required definitions per node NP1 is around 1500 ranges. NP7 is 300-600

Frequency of change Daily/ Weekly. Around 3% of network node global title ranges change every month.

IMSIGT – This is the IMSI to MGT translation.

Requirement This is based on the IMSI ranges of RPs


Frequency of change Not often – Normally only when RPs are added/removed/modified

SCCPGT (SGSN)

SCCPGT – This is the Global Title analysis and is checked for both NP1 & NP7

Requirement For NP1 this should include all the network node global title ranges of RPs. For NP7 this should include the MGT Ranges of RPs

Required definitions per node NP1 is around 1500 ranges. NP7 is 200-400

Frequency of change Weekly. Around 3% of network node global title ranges change every month.

ConnectPLMN (SGSN)

ConnectPLMN – This is the Connected Data PLMNs based on IMSI

Requirement This is based on the IMSI ranges of RPs where LTE should be activated


Frequency of change Monthly, changes are made when agreements change and Data service is either launched or blocked.

IP Ranges (UGW)

IP Ranges – Inbound IP Ranges of RPs are defined in the UGW

Requirement This is based on the PMN IP backbone IP Ranges of Inbound RPs

Required definitions per node Around 2500 IP Ranges

Frequency of change Daily. Around 10% of Backbone IP Ranges change every month.

IP Ranges (FIREWALL)

IP Ranges – Inbound and Outbound IP Ranges of RPs are defined in the FIREWALL

Requirement This is based on the PMN IP backbone IP Ranges of both Inbound and Outbound RPs

Required definitions per node Around 3000 IP Ranges

Frequency of change Daily. Around 10% of Backbone IP Ranges change every month.

Inbound CAMEL

CAMELROAMRST (MSC,MSS) CAMELROAMRST - Normally this is a restrict table, which lists all the IMSI ranges of RPs that don’t use CAMEL. There are however examples of this being used as an allow list as well.

CAMELROAMRST – This is the list of restricted CAMEL RPs

Requirement The is based on the list RPs which don’t have CAMEL activated


Frequency of change Monthly, changes are made when agreements change and CAMEL is either activated or blocked.

S1ACCAREALST is the LTE allow list

Requirement This is based on the IMSI prefixes of RPs where LTE is activated


Frequency of change Monthly, changes are made when agreements change and LTE is launched or blocked.
