Whether you are an aspiring, amateur or professional writer, the NaNoWriMo introductory session will outline how you can be involved and what events and activities are coming up. This is also a great opportunity to meet fellow authors.
Have you ever wanted to write a novel? If so, the month of November could be prime time to turn that dream into a reality.National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is an annual month-long novel writing program encouraging adults and children to try their hand at writing.
In the lead up to NaNoWriMo, the City of Gosnells, City of Armadale, Town of Victoria Park and Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale will be hosting a range of free events, workshops and book launches.
To launch the events calendar, the City’s Knowledge Centre will be hosting a Write Along the Highway - NaNoWriMo Introductory Session on Thursday 10 October, outlining how you can get involved and what events are coming up. It is also a great opportunity to meet fellow authors.
Full details of events scheduled in all libraries in the lead up to and throughout NaNoWriMo month are included in this brochure.

If you want to write a personal memoir, a family history, a biography, or a piece of fiction based on lived experience then join educator and writer Alan Hancock. He will look at what happens when an author fashions a story from memory and imagination, and at decisions they need to make about style, structure, characterisation and plot.
