We highly recommend using public transport where possible. The Start Line is approximately a 15-minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street station. If you need to drive, recommended car park information is available on the General Information page of the event website. Please arrive early as spaces are limited. START LINE VILLAGE Upon arrival to the Exhibition Centre on race morning, you will find a baggage area to drop off your bag, a first aid point and toilets all within the Exhibition Centre or Echo Arena. Note to all runners: Please arrive AT LEAST one hour before your race start time to allow for any traffic delays, warm up, baggage check, etc. START CORRALS (PENS) You are assigned a race number and corresponding corral based on your projected finish time – the faster your time, the closer your corral will be to the front. Runners can enter the corrals 30 minutes prior to the start. Your corral is indicated on your race number. If you are running the marathon you will not be able to enter your corral until the Half Marathon has started and the corrals are cleared. The corrals will enable a comfortable starting position for runners and walkers of all paces. When the gun fires, the first corral will be released. The rest of the participants will be held at the start line. At pre-determined intervals (approximately every minute), the next corral will be released. By using this staggered starting method, the pack will be spread out and allow every runner to settle into their racing rhythm without affecting an individual time or the time participants must complete the race. COURSE TIME LIMITS & CUT OFF The official course time limit for the half marathon is 3.5 hours (approx. 16min/mile pace) and 6 hours for the marathon (approx. 13.5 min/mile pace). The race will utilise a wave start; your official time will not start until you cross the start line. A tail runner will follow the last half marathon runner at 3.5 hour pace and a tail vehicle will follow the last marathon runner at 6 hour pace. If at any time a participant drops behind the tail vehicle, they will be asked to move to the footpath or board the tail vehicle. Participants that choose to continue will be informed that they can continue as an active pedestrian, but that roads will reopen, course support (including medical and water) will be removed and they may not receive a recorded finish time. PACE TEAMS We’ve partnered with several local running clubs to provide the Official Pace Team for the race. Experienced pacers will help you
