It is ranked second in Fortune Global-500 2014 rankings. The Information Technology (IT) function within Shell, in its effort to improve cost performance and bring back the IT delivery capability in-house, has decided to consolidate its IT delivery operation into 4 IT Hubs (London, the Hague, Houston and a new center in Bangalore, India) and to rebalance all IT activities across the hubs and other locations. The proposed IT Hub will bring substantial amounts of positive Foreign Exchange over the next 5 years and beyond (On a best estimate basis). To obtain fiscal benefit, it is proposed to set up the new Bangalore centre in a SEZ location.

Shell has strategic priorities and continue to look for ways to improve

performance. Shell has a strategic intent to change the IT delivery model across the Group. The strategic opportunity presented is to transform the IT function through the insourcing of IT projects, significantly diminishing the contractor base and rebalancing of Shell IT staff through a new captive offshore IT Hub in India (Bangalore). This 5 year journey will offer significant cost advantages and secure access to skills, knowledge and talent.

service (which is not covered in the default list of services) namely Management or Business Consultant Services. Accordingly, the Development Commissioner has conveyed the approval.

In this respect it may be noted that while discussing the agenda item in

the 31st (7/2014 series) UAC of Primal Projects Pvt. Ltd. SEZ held on 23-12-2014, it has been decided to grant such approvals immediately on receipt of application at the level of Development Commissioner in advance. Accordingly, the said approval has been granted by this office and the same is placed before the Committee for ratification.

M/s. Allstate Solutions Pvt. Ltd. a unit in RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. holding Letter of Approval No. KA:06:06:Adarsh:01:2A:15 dated 01/08/2012 for IT & ITES. The unit vide their letter dated 14/05/2015 has submitted an application for approval of additional name of vendors with nature of services under the service items viz. Management or Business Consultant’s Services in terms of Service Tax Notification No.12/2013-ST dated 01.7.2013 for carrying out authorized operation ( Annexure VI). Accordingly, the Development Commissioner conveyed the approval.

C-6: M/s. Danske IT and Support Services India Pvt. Ltd. – Request for installation of ATM Counter in their premises for the benefit of their own employees.

M/s. Danske IT and Support Services India Pvt. Ltd. is a unit in RMZ Ecoworld

Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. holding Letter of Approval No. KA:06:06:RMZSEZ:01:2A:29

dated 30/12/2014 for IT & ITES. The unit vide their letter dated 01/06/2015 has

submitted an application for installation of ATM counter in their SEZ premises for

exclusive use of their employees. The unit has stated that Deutsche Bank has

agreed to install the ATM once an approval is granted by the Development

Commissioner. The ATM is intended to provide administrative convenient for their

employees to withdraw money/deposit cheques. In this regard the unit has

submitted “No Objection Certificate’ from the developer and acceptance of request for

installation of the ATM at their premises by the bank. The unit has further stated

that they may not claim any SEZ duty benefit on the said installation. As per SEZ

Rule, a unit is not entitled to install the ATM in their unit premises. The developer is

only entitled for installation of ATM counter in the SEZ premises for common utility.

The matter is accordingly placed for consideration of their request. A copy of the

letter dated 1/6/2015 is placed at (Annexure VII)
