FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Evans, GA – Riverwood Plantation will provide swimming year-round as Columbia County’s first ever indoor swimming pool. A custom fit dome will be used to cover their Jr. Olympic size pool, providing protection from the elements during the winter months. The dome has been ordered and is scheduled to be in operation by October 1, 2009. During the winter months, the water will be heated to 82 degrees. Flexibility will be offered in night-time and morning availability. Members will have access with a secure keyed entry. This indoor swimming pool is offered to the residents of Riverwood Plantation and their partners who have helped fund the purchase of a dome with their sponsorships. Swim leagues have already signed up and will use the pool for practice during the winter months. Businesses are invited to become a sponsor, in return, they will receive a membership package that includes member pool passes and advertising that displays their information on banners within the pool area and on the Riverwood Plantation website.
