Thank you for consulting one of our student homeopaths. We will
do our very best to support our student so that you have the very
best treatment. Rest assured you are in safe hands in that we take
great care to ensure our students are trained to a very high
professional level, always acting with safety as well as
competence.
In order for students to graduate from the River School of
Homeopathy they are required to present graduation cases and learn
not just theoretically but through clinical experience. All cases
are discussed, in confidence, with the student’s mentor and with
the college clinic mentor on a regular basis. The student homeopath
may charge you a fee to contribute towards the cost of their
mentorship and the homeopathic remedies that you are
prescribed.
In emergencies, the student homeopath will contact his or her
mentor for advice. The College recommends that if you have any
doubts in an emergency situation you should contact your GP or
Accident and Emergency Department. If you are unable to contact
your student homeopath for any reason but would still like
Homeopathic advice, the Homeopathic Help Line provides telephone
cover 9.00am to midnight every day of the year. The telephone
number for this service is: 09065 343404. Calls are charged at
£1.50 per minute and you will be recommended a remedy to purchase
from a pharmacy.
Many patients are prescribed pharmaceutical drugs they would
like to stop taking. It is the college policy that the student must
ask their patient to consult with their GP and inform their mentor
before withdrawing any medication and should never advise the
patient to stop taking medication without ensuring it is safe to do
so.
