Ste Jeanne d’Arc School Students Inducted by the Catholic Schools Foundation into Tenth Class of Peter S. Lynch Scholars
On Tuesday, November 19th, Cardinal Seán O’Malley, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Boston, celebrated a Mass at Our lady Help of Chris-tians in Newton, Massachusetts to induct the tenth class of Peter Lynch (PL) Scholars. Peter Lynch, known for his successful career as a money manager at Fidelity Investments, is a longtime supporter of Boston’s Catholic Schools and serves as President Emeritus for the Catholic Schools Foundation. In his honor, The Peter Lynch (PL) Scholars Program was established in 2010 to honor Mr. Lynch’s involvement with the Catholic Schools Foun-dation and the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. Each Catholic elementary school selects their PL Scholars based upon, among other criteria, his or her grades, work ethic, and demonstrated care and concern for others in
the school community and beyond. Students Deep Patel, Maya Silva, Breanna Rosario and Michelle Ngure were accompanied by
Assistant Principal Mollie Williams. Missing from photo was Isabella Vega. These scholars were among 206 ele-mentary students from 54 Catholic elementary schools across the Greater Boston area inducted into the tenth class of Peter Lynch (PL) Scholars by the Catholic Schools Foundation.
