You are not a “LIFE MEM-BER” until you are certified as one by Supreme and Grand Lodges. The certification be-comes effective in May of the fol-lowing year. “LETTERS” Hi Seymour, Wishing you and yours a very Happy and Healthy New Year. I don’t know if you are aware that our dear friend and Pythian Sir Allen Plotnk is seriously Ill. He had emergency surgery approximately 2 months ago and lapsed into a coma for about 6 weeks and now is semi-comatose situation. He is hospitalized at the Kin-dred Hospital in West Palm Beach. He has unselfishly served our Lodge and the Order for more than 50 years. He currently serves as Grand Vice Chancellor of the State of Florida. I am writng you this note to you as vehicle to the Order. What I have seen thru the years is one of self-grandisment to individuals rather than to the Order. What happened to Friendship, Charity and Benevolence. It has died as the Order is. Not one person has called Phyllis in her time of need. There is a tremendous strain on the family and there was not a single Pythian there for whom he has worked his entire life. We have visited Alan and he and Phyllis need to know that we are with him. I am also hoping to see more members come to our meetings and bring friends and relatives in as new members. As I am honored to be Deputy of the 3nd District, there will be a joint Deputy Dinner on May 17, 2020. The Dinner will be at El Caribe in Brooklyn at 12 Noon. Please keep the date available. Hello Brother Pythians – I hope everyone had a great holi-day season. Now that the Winter is here and the holidays have passed, warm up at Castle Hall for the meetings at the A.O.H. building on Gerritsen Avenue at 8 PM on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Bryan Hoffman gave his Deputy Homecoming speech with a collation that followed in the beginning of December. Various dignitaries including Grand Chancellor Randy Silverman attended this meeting as a representative from the main lodge as well as King Solomon Utopia members. Bryan gave a wonderful speech with a rousing message. Planning and suggestions for activities during the next few months will be on going at future meetings. Issues that directly affect the Lodge and its members will be brought up in upcom-ing meetings. So please make it a point to attend and make your voice heard. I just want to remind all King Solomon members that they can attend Bryan Hoffman’s Deputy Grand Chancellors dinner later this year. Remem-ber, new members are always welcome, so make sure you spread the word.
