• (automated) Integration of traffic information (RIS) into in-house IT-systems (of inland ports),
• Transport management assistance: Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for port, terminal operations,
• Berth planning and safety,• Cargo management (planning of cargo transhipment), • Billing (harbour dues and cargo rates),• Production of statistics,• Interface to other modes (road, rail, maritime) etc.

• Supporting the exchange of data between inland vessel operators and inland ports/ terminal operators,
• Compilation of RIS information (POS, lock, traffic,…) with transport and voyage data,
• Usage of ERI (ERINOT messages) enables: • Dynamic user authorization – temporary access authorization
for inland ports/ terminals, based on ERI contents, • Improved data quality and handling of data for ports and
terminals,• Easier recording of changes of push convoys (lightering and
[de-]coupling,…).
