Epiphany refers to a guiding light or a manifestation that helps us to understand something significant. Christ re-veals to us the face of God, makes the sacrifice needed for our salvation and shows us the way to receive God’s mer-ciful gift of eternal life. Pope Francis reminds us that we can either move towards the light of Christ, be fearful of this light, or be just plain indifferent. Monday, January 8th, we celebrate the baptism of the Lord and then the Christmas decorations in the church come down. We are invited to keep the light of Christ burning in our hearts so that we never grow weary of seeking Christ and following him to his kingdom, where peace and justice reign forev-er. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Fr John
