TECHNICAL INFORMATION
RIMAC CLOROTALONIL 50 SC
FITOSANITARY ACTION: Fungicide
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Chlorothalonil
FORMULATION AND CONCENTRATION: Suspension concentrate at 50 %
MODE OF ACTION: RIMAC CLOROTALONIL 50 SC is a protectant fungicide which inhibits germination process and fungus development.
PHYTOTOXICITY: RIMAC CLOROTALONIL 50 SC is not phytotoxic in the recommended doses and
crops.
C COMPATIBILITY: RIMAC CLOROTALONIL 50 SC is compatible with fungicides and insecticides
commonly used; however, it is advisable to make a compatibility test before its use.
TOXICOLOGY:
Toxicological category: IV
Oral LD50: Acute oral: rat: >5.000 mg/kg.
Dermic and ocular LD50: Acute subcutaneous: albino rabbit: >5.000 mg/kg. Severe ocular irritant;
slight irritant for skin (rabbit). In humans there is evidence of contact dermatitis in repeated
exposition.
Warning phrase: CAUTION
Toxicological band: green
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT: Use conventional equipment for ground application such as equipment
for tractor or knapsack sprayer. Make sure that the application equipment is in perfect working
condition without leaks and appropriately calibrated. Use full protection equipment: boots,
respirator, safety glasses and rubber gloves. The product doesn’t damage application equipment.
HOW TO PREPARE THE MIXTURE: In order to prepare application mixture, fill the tank up to the
middle with water; turn on the agitation or recirculation system, add the recommended amount of
RIMAC CLOROTALONIL 50 SC and fill up with clean water.

aiming to protect the fruit 7 and 3
days before harvest.

PRECAUTIONS:
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT: do no transport tis product with from food, forage, medicines, clothes
or household tools. Do not keep herbicides in contact with other agrochemicals. Store in a locked,
fresh, dry and ventilated place, away from heat. Keep it in its original container, labeled and
hermetically closed, out of reach of children. Do not leave containers open.
INTERVAL BETWEEN THE LAST APPLICATION AND HARVEST: allow a period of 14 days so the edible
products maintain permissible residue limits.
PERIOD FOR REENTRY TO THE TREATED AREA: wait until the sprinkle over the foliage is dry, in case
of doing it before full personal protection equipment should be worn.
INTOXICATION SYMPTOMS: In human beings, this fungicide provokes strong eye and skin irritation
and in a smaller percentage it produces a sensitizer effect. In the skin it produces dermatitis when
there is exposition to the product but its duration is short, if treated adequately dermic lesion looks
like a small sun burn.
FIRST AID:
BY INGESTION: If the patient is conscious and doesn’t have convulsions, provoke vomit by giving to
drink ipecac syrup at a dose of 30 mL for adults and 15 mL for children, followed by two glasses of
water and rub tongue’s base with the finger or a blunt object. Get immediate medical attention.
BY CONTACT WITH THE EYES: Wash immediately the affect area with plenty of clean water during 15
minutes.
BY INHALATION: Remove the patient to a ventilated, dry and ventilated place. Loosen clothing and
check respiration.
BY CONTACT WITH THE SKIN: Remove clothing and wash the affected part with plenty of water and
soap.
ANTIDOTE AND MEDICAL TREATMENT: It has not an antidote. Treatment has to be symptomatic and
supportive. In case of intoxication remember to notify the Health Ministry.
MEASURES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: toxic to fishes and crustaceans, do not pollute
rivers, lakes and ponds with this product, containers or empty packages. Toxic to bees.
HANDLING CONTAINERS, PACKAGES, WASTES AND REMAINDERS: Use the full content of the
container, when empty, wash and rinse with clean water and add the resulting water to the already
prepared mixture, disable empty containers, perforate them. If the country has an official container
recollection and disposal program, deliver them to the nearest recollection center or dispose of them
in agreement with the instructions of the product distributor. In case of a spillage aspirate it and
remove it, collect this material in a hermetic container and hand it to the distributor.
