Microdermabrasion has long been a popular method for superficial skin

resurfacing. As the abrasive coarse-grit diamond surface passes over the

skin, the superficial layer of skin (stratum corneum) is gently removed.

The dead skin cells and loose skin debris are vacuumed up through the

device and collected in a filter that you can discard following treatment.

This abrasive resurfacing method has been demonstrated to create a

Acne scars are the result of inflammation within the dermis brought on

by acne. Acne scars are created by damaged skin trying to heal itself and

often those scars leave indentions in the skin’s surface. Recent research

has shown that microdermabrasion has been successful in reducing some

forms of mild acne and acne scars on the skins surface.

Improving Your Complexion

Most treatments for acne scarring involve medications and often times

leave a person with less than satisfactory results. The idea of using

microdermabrasion as a resurfacing tool to reduce mild acne and acne

scars is based on removing the superficial layer of skin. As the abrasive

surface passes over the skin, the diamonds remove the top layer of skin

(stratum corneum) along with the dead skin cells and loose skin debris. The

dead skin is then vacuumed up into the device and deposited in the filter

canister.

CelluliteWhat is Cellulite?

Cellulite is the unsightly lumpy, dimpled skin appearance, also known as

the ‘cottage cheese’ or ‘orange peel’ appearance. Cellulite consists of fat

deposits that appear mainly on the hips, thighs and buttocks.

Cellulite is one of the most embarrassing and troubling skin conditions

What Causes Cellulite?

Cellulite is fat trapped by a network of connective fibers. As fat deposits

accumulate within the structure of this tissue, the connective fibers

(called Septum) pull on their anchor points on the skin. The result is a

dimpling or “orange peel” effect.

Travis DowDell, DCFounder/CEO

Mr. DowDell is the founder and CEO of Riiviva. He began his career in private practice treating medical lien patients and quickly expanded, from a solo physician to a multi-disciplinary medical group across several western states. Following that, he founded Intermountain Surgical (IMS), a medical lien recovery group that bridged the med-legal community together and provided orthopedic surgery financing for the uninsured. Intermountain Surgical was acquired in 2011 and 2013 by private equity investment groups.

Prior to IMS, Dr. DowDell, along with two partners, started U.S. MRI – currently, the largest private stand alone imaging center in the western U.S. – with exclusive contracts to the US Olympic Ski and Snowboarding teams.

Mr. DowDell studied Human Biology at Brigham Young University and holds his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College in San Jose, California.

Haley is an experienced and creative manager, with a rich history in growing companies. Prior to Riiviva, Haley served as general manager of U.S. MRI and helped build that company in to one of the largest independent imaging centers in the country. She is experienced in sourcing key strategic partners to help grow and expand innovative products. Haley has been instrumental in building Riiviva’s social selling platform and working with key partners such as Sephora, Dermstore and Beauty Bar.

Dina Schon has over 25 years of experience in the beauty care industry with award winning success in the Salon/Spa sector as well as Direct Marketing/Infomercial arenas.Ms. Schon has worked with multiple businesses including Murad Skincare with Dr. Howard Murad. Responsible for overall global strategy, product development, marketing and sales development. Didan Helped Murad to achieve unprecedented sales within the salon/spa industry as well as put Murad in the respectable place of being 8th most successful infomercial of all time. Ms. Schon retired from Murad in 1995 but soon after, began her own consulting firm and has worked with clients such as N.V. Perricone, Dr. Greg Jenkins, Exuviance, Nagase, Dr. Lewinn and Lamas Beauty.

Elaine served as Regional Sales Director North East, National Sales manager, Yves Saint Laurent, US affiliate of the luxury company specializing in color, skincare and fragrance-acquired by Gucci in 2000.
