State-approved Programs of Study
RPOSPrograms of Study – As a guidance tool, the intent is to chart out many paths for student success.
State-approved Programs of Study – Signature programs for a consortium. Each consortium should identify at least seven programs for state approval.
Rigorous Programs of Study – Ten elements take the POS to the highest standard. Each consortium should bring at least one Program of Study to meet the RPOS standard during the 2013-2014 year.

ships
11-14 Redesign – Planning among the Commissioner of Education, Chancellor of MnSCU and Director of the Office of Higher Education to enhance opportunities for high school students to successfully enter and complete postsecondary education. Resulted in major changes to the state assessment system in coming years.
Improved Career Guidance through Partnerships – Expansion of work conducted with the National Research Center for Career Technical Education to focus on career guidance in schools utilizing CTE and academic teachers, postsecondary faculty, and community partners.
Career Pathways – Improved alignment between CTE Programs of Study and Career Pathways initiatives of the WorkForce Center System to promote more common understanding and improved transitions from education to employment.
Voluntary Public School Choice – Planning grants to promote opportunities for high school students to gain postsecondary credit while in high school. Promoted examples include early college models, AP/IB, the Anoka-Hennepin STEP Program, and CTE Programs of Study.
Redesigning the transition from Secondary to Postsecondary Education.

•align high school assessment with measures of readiness for post-secondary education;
•provide targeted support while students are in high school if students are not on track to being ready for post-secondary education;

•better align students’ educational plans with workforce needs.

• $78 million to offset 3% tuition increase; tuition freeze for 2 yrs
• $7.3 million for leveraged equipment
• $17 million to retain quality faculty and staff—one-time funds
• $0for internships/apprenticeships ($12 million requested
