Aims : The aim of the event is to bring together colleagues from across NHSScotland to share the national programme of improvement work and strategic priorities for NHS Boards including : Scotland leading the way in testing new models and approaches to improving patient flow : o piloting an Optimising Patient Flow Model o testing a Scottish Flow, Cost and Quality Programme o reducing variation in Day Surgery across Scotland o spreading Enhanced Recovery in other specialities o spreading non operative fracture redesign Exploring the relationship and interdependencies between Flow , Patient Safety and our Quality Ambitions Showcase best practice in improving patient flow, including: o Learning from the Health Foundation’s Flow, Cost & Quality Programme The day will be a combination of main plenary and breakout sessions and an excellent opportunity to showcase best practice exemplars and consider how we can spread and reliably implement across NHSScotland. It will be an excellent networking opportunity for colleagues working in the field of quality improvement and whole system patient flow. As well as an opportunity to showcase your local approaches to improving patient flow and successes to date.
