Living in the Netherlands and studying at Leiden University has been one of the most significant experiences of my life so far! Learning from leading experts at the Leiden Law School has greatly expanded my knowledge and understanding in areas such as privacy law, internet governance and European legal history. In addition, I have been learning Dutch, attended events at The Hague, and have travelled to Finland, Russia, Germany and Belgium. Moving to a new country alone is transformative; this experience has enabled me to step outside my comfort zone, to gain personal and professional growth and make new friendships with students from all over the world.

I was fortunate to study at Osaka University. Japan is one of many culturally rich countries within Asia, and throws you right in the deep end of life. I mean this in the most positive way. Trekking out in the snowy mountains of Hokkaido, escaping to Seoul for the weekend, 12 hour bike trips and so much more to explore. It’s staggering, knowing just how much I could achieve in a single year. I met incredible people from all corners of the world, and together we explored Japan. This made for incredible memories. I took so much away from this experience.
