DIAMOND SPONSOR RapidShot hockey training system is a sport specific training system with technology centered on repetition and feedback. The system automatically passes and collects pucks. Players catch pass- es and shoot at targets while RapidShot records reaction time, accuracy and speed. It allows players and coaches to analyze fundamental techniques specific to the sport of hockey. RapidShot’s World Rankings Database promotes competition and ranks scores among players in individual age groups. RapidShot is an indispensable training tool for every hockey player - professional NHLers, junior athletes, and minor hockey participants - who want to go from good to better and from better to best. Off-ice training on RapidShot is a great complement to on-ice practice. It allows players to get valuable practice time in an environment that measures performance, delivers feedback, and develops proper skills. Players have the option to shoot in their skates, which helps simulate on-ice situations. RapidShot provides an unparalleled passing rate. Receiving up to 800 passes per hour allows players to develop a “feel for the puck”. The evaluation of each shot allows for real time assessment and correction if necessary. RapidShot records all sessions and allows players to view results on the RapidShot website. They can monitor their results through a progress report which breaks down their reaction time, accuracy, and speed. Players learn the best technique by providing immediate feedback and the maximum rate of repetition within the shortest period of time. Players can learn to optimize their puck speed, without sacrificing reaction time or accuracy. peakhockeysask.com

SKATING TREADMILL

Some of the key elements that separate players are skating skills, speed and agility. The skating treadmill is a tool that allows us to identify, isolate, correct and repeat areas of concern in a controlled environment which accelerates muscle memory and facilitates improvement in fundamentals. The X-80 TreadMill from Blazing Thunder Sports has been designed to assist players in developing a solid foundation by improving stride mechanics, strength, balance, neuromuscular coordination, mobility, agility and muscle memory to maximize overall athletic and game potential.

An adjustable safety bar allows for players of all ages to participate. It is a great tool for learn-to-skate ages to develop balance and edge control or experienced players to refi ne technique. Our treadmill is surrounded by a synthetic deck which allows for stick handling, passing, shooting in stride and multi-tasking.

It is important to note that nothing will replace specifi c on-ice training, but the skating treadmill offers players an excellent opportunity to get multiple repetions of a skating specifi c skill in a controlled, focused environment.

Some of the benefi ts include: ⌂ stride mechanics isolation and training ⌂ immediate feedback/analysis ( mirrors used for visual learning) ⌂ Inside /outside edge work ⌂ improve body balance ⌂ improve glide platform ⌂ dynamic sprint speed improvement ⌂ improve leg and core strength ⌂ master crossovers and explosive starts

PLATINUM SPONSORSYNTHETIC ICE SHOOTING LANES

Peak Performance Hockey shooting lanes use synthetic ice from Synthetic Ice Solutions. They provide the latest, most technologically advanced materials to produce the best artifi cial ice available today. This new age material has the lowest co-effi cient of friction properties in comparison to any other product on the market. Tests have shown that it requires only 10-15% more effort than real ice, just enough for training and exercise benefi ts.

Our synthetic ice shooting lanes allow for players to shoot from their skates which simulates on-ice shoot-ing. Each lane is equipped with a regulation size hockey net, targets or shooter tooter. The shooting lanes are designed to allow for individual lane shooting for proper technique and repetition, or for multiple players to practice passing and one-time shooting.

STICK HANDLING ZONE

All great hockey players share the ability to control the puck and stickhandle under game-situation pres-sure. This talent is developed through training and is essential to improving as a player. On-ice stick-han-dling skills can be improved off-ice.

The speed at which the puck moves, the quick transition found in the game from offense to defense, and the speed of recognition needed to make game decisions is related to a player’s vision and puck handling skills. The skill set necessary for hockey requires the following: focus, vision and balance, eye-hand coor-dination, tracking and eye movements.

Peak’s 800 square foot stick handling zone has everything players need to improve puck control, reac-tion speed, hand -eye coordination, weight transfer and balance.

RAPIDHANDS

If players want to improve control and hand speed, they can only do so through repetition and feedback. RapidHands is a unique hockey training system that improves vision and stick handling by providing a fun way to train while encouraging sound fundamentals.

The training system uses sensors embedded in synthetic ice to track the movement of the puck. When the system asks a player to stickhandle over a specifi c target, the puck activates the sensor, informing the software that the maneuver has been performed. It also allows players to work on their transition from stick handling to passing on both sides of the stick. Scores are recorded, performance is measured and feedback is provided to gauge the player’s progress and shows how they rank with respect to their peers.

RapidHands forces players to keep their head up to watch the screen while they stick handle.
