General GB-4000 questions
I sent the following questions to Quantumbalancing but thought I would alsopost them here. One of the questions was answered before by someone on
this forum but I have no idea where he got the info.
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I love my GB but the more I use it the more
questions I come up with. (1) Is there any distinct advantage to using thegate feature? (2) I currantly have the gate set at 64 hz, 75% duty cycle.Does that make sense? (3) What is the difference between the 90% dutycycle that the GB has for a default and the duty cycle in the gate feature?(4) What is the best % for the modulation. I believe the default is 100%.What would be the purpose of changing it? (5) What is the output (voltageand watts)of the GB without the amplifier? I am trying to compare it to my
ProWave Model 101 and F125 which I also use occasionally for otherreasons. (6) I have purchased a IR/BPT-500 R/B Plasma Device from Dave
Trebing at Vibrant Health and would like to be able to use the GB as a signalsource. I plan to use a female BNC adapter to banana plug cable to connectthe two. Should I keep the amplitude all the way down on the GB (no
amplifier, of course)? (7) In the operating instruction, it lists the gate rate at5-75 Hz but the generator display gives the rate as 5-2200 Hz. Which iscorrect? (8) Regarding program #114, how is it to be run? The amp cannotbe used, correct? How can you run freqs below 1 mHz on square wave andfreqs above 1mhz on sine wave all in the same program? Would I be correct
in assuming that program #114 is best run on sine wave, in RF mode, without the amp? (9) Regarding sweeps, if I do a sweep from, lets say, from
2000 to 2600, does it sweep at 1hz increments? Can the sweep incrementbe changed? At 5 minutes sweep time, would that mean that each freq gets
hit for .5 second each? Thanks, Mike

Re: General GB-4000 questions
Hi FrankI can explain what happens to 8 frequencies added together perfectly
from an engineering point of view. If you were to filter out each
wave and look at them you would simultaneously see each wave and
hence the peaks would all be the same giving the same power to
each the same as if they were run separately. Its really a question of
how good the algorithm is in the digital summing of the waves.
Obviously nothing is perfect and digital devices have a resolution,
which is ultimately their master clock. Whether this jitter affects the
waves or adds harmonics is down to how much faster the clock is in
relation to the wave being generated. Hope this helps.
ThanksPaul

General GB-4000 questions
I must confess that either I do not know or I've forgotten the
difference between an "audio" wave output & a "radio" waveoutput - The GB4000 makes a great distinction here.
Is it simply that the radio wave runs with the carrier while theaudio does not?
Subjectively, the audio puts out a jolt felt much more stronglythan the radio - The radio has better penetration & alwaysblows out whatever program my laptop is executing...
Since there exist the two different outputs, what are the majoradvantages/disadvantages of running one as opposed to the
other?

Re: General GB-4000 questions
Scott:
I have purchased a couple of systems from Thomas Lum,Pacific Health Online - He has dabbled with just about every
Rife system & I know personally that he has used bothJWLabs & GB-4000 units.
He is probably one of the best sources to give you a directcomparison between the two products.
You can phone him directly as he sells several different Rife
configurations & also expect to hear about Atelier Robin unitswhich I believe to be his preference.
