Vorbau StemEs sind drei Vorbauten (Komfort, Sport, Sport fix) erhältlich. Komfort und Sport sind in vier Rastposi-tionen höhenverstellbar. Der Komfort-Vorbau ermög-licht eine aufrechtere Sitz-position. Three stems are available (Comfort, Sport, Sport fix). The Comfort and Sport are height adjustable in four steps. The Comfort stem permits a more up-right riding position.

Lowrider LowriderDer Lowrider für die Mon-tage von Packtaschen wird an der Vorderradgabel be-festigt. Das Gepäck wird optimal verteilt (Gewicht: 180 g). The lowrider is fixed to the front fork and allows mounting panniers –for perfect luggage balance (weight: 180 g).

The Expedition carrier is securely mounted to the frame and rear swingarm, and thanks to its articulated design folds up automatically when the Birdy is folded. This high-end lighting is equipped with a dynamo from the Germany-based company SON. The SON XS is an easy rolling hub dynamo deve-loped especially for small wheels. It is very small and ensures a small folding size. Frontlight same as Shimano lighting (weight: 630 g).

Die Scheibenbremsen und Naben sind speziell auf das Birdy angepasst (Mehr-gewicht zur V-Bremse: 300 g). Scheibenbremsen sind besonders sauber, da kein Bremsabrieb auf der Felge entsteht. The front disc brakes are mounted on the right hand side, so as not to increase the folded size. The brakes fitted are Shimano’s BR-575, and both brakes and hubs are spe-cially adapted for the Birdy (weight increase vs. V-bra-kes: 300 g). Disc brakes are very clean as there won't be any brake dust on the rim.
