The Ridgeway Gabion wall is arevolutionary design of wire mesh
baskets formed by connectingindividual panels of mesh with
helical spirals onthe vertical edge wires creating anopen series of box compartments,
that foldin a concertina fashion to be flat
packed.
The modular structure of thesewalls allows for variation in
section to be accommodated as theheight increases. The inherent
strength ofthe units ensures structural anddimensional stability whilst a
degree offlexibility accommodates groundmovement and settlement where
necessary.
Lids and bases are sometimessupplied loose with helical
spiral bindersto connect the top and
bottom of the open cellsalong one
edge. Alternatively they maybe factory fitted where
practical fortransportation purposes
The Ridgeway Gabion Wallis manufactured from hard
drawn mild steel wiresformed into a bi-axial
mesh grid and joined byelectrically welding
the cross wires at everyintersection.
