Principal’s Report
What a fabulous morning we had yesterday with
the riders from the Ride for Resilience. These
riders were riding from Forbes to Mangoplah to
raise money for the Activefarmers, they had
raised over $100 thousand which is a huge effort
for 36 people. Thanks to our P&C for providing a
lovely morning tea for the riders.
On Thursday all students will travel to Forbes to
practise for the Forbes Small Schools Showcase.
The bus will leave the school at 8.50, we will wait
for those that catch the little bus to arrive and
then head out. We are aiming to be back at
school by 3.10pm, but will keep parents informed
via the messenger group if we will be later than
this. Students need to pack recess, lunch and
water and need to wear their school uniform.
Bland Sports is being held in Bribbaree on Friday.
Parents are to transport their children to
Bribbaree. Students need to wear navy shorts
and our school sports shirts will be handed out as
Tuesday, 17th

they arrive – if you still have a shirt at home
please bring it on Friday. Please aim to be at
Bribbaree by 8.50 so we can get organised for the
marching.
We’re getting very excited about the Forbes Small
Schools Creative Arts Showcase, which is on next
Monday 23rd September in the Forbes Town Hall.
Students have been asked to get to the Town Hall
at 4.45 in preparation for the Showcase
commencing at 5.30. Students need to wear
smart casual clothes for the evening. It is asked
parents bring along a plate to share for supper at
intermission and the show is set to finish at
approximately 7pm. It’s not too late to come into
school to get your tickets and everyone is
welcome. If you have any questions concerning
arrangements for the night please phone the
school.
Over the past week we have sent many notes
home informing parents of our upcoming events
and gaining permission for students to attend. I
have been very impressed with the prompt replies
and the commitment of parents and students to
attend. Returning notes to school early makes it
much easier to organise staff, students and
transport. Thanks so much to everyone that have
returned notes.
Our school has a fabulous bunch of parents that
band together to raise money to provide great
opportunities for our students. Here’s some of the
things the P.&C. have contributed to so far this
year; students travelling to Forbes by bus for the
Showcase rehearsal, accommodation for 3-6
touch football players in Dubbo, accommodation
for relay swimmers in Sydney, accommodation for
School Spectacular in Sydney and school
resources. Washing up, carrying plates, making
food or doing canteen all contributes to raising
funds to help our students. I encourage all
parents to come along and help out to lighten the
load.
