Leveraging the H.264/SVC video codec, several locations can be connected together as a standard feature. Before that, legacy systems needed an MCU (multipoint control unit), an expensive equipment. With Ricoh UCS, 20 locations can join and 9 of them can be displayed on your screen, thus drastically reducing your expenses. Several screen layouts are possible such as a close-up on the speaker. Note: On the smart devices, the maximum amount of locations displayed is 4.

You can also easily share your PC screen or the image of a real object

Any participant can share his or her computer screen by simply connecting* a USB cable provided with Ricoh UCS devices. You can also change the orientation of the camera and show real objects while communicating at the same time. Microscopes can also be connected, for instance to show defects in parts. *When using P3500 Note: in the case of smart devices, documents can only be received, not sent.

Ricoh UCS video and sound are encrypted, which means that your communication is safe. So even if your data is intercepted it cannot be restored.

Moreover, our system allows calls to be received only from IDs which are already registered in the address book. By using a web based interface, you can send an address registration request to your counterpart. Then your counterpart needs to accept your request in order to have your addresses mutually registered.

P3500The P3500 is easy to operate in a variety of places with its wide camera angle and zoom function. You can also expand its abilities by connecting external devices such as PTZ cameras or speakers. If you install it in a dedicated conference room, you can have multi-site calls with a large number of people.

The P3500 addresses your needs whether you want to carry it around easily in various rooms or use it in a narrow space or in a conference room with multiple participants.

Easy to operate and designed with taste, the P3500 is a light-weight 1.6 kg device the size of an A4 sheet.

A camera, microphone, speakers, wired/wireless LAN are all built-in. The P3500 is also 40mm thick, flat enough to be stored in a cabinet desk.

The P3500 is equipped with digital video ports to avoid drops in the transmission quality. You can also connect external devices to its high speed USB 3.0 ports (x 2) for an even better experience.

The interface integrates in an intuitive way all the important functions for a conference, so that even people who are not used to computers can use the P3500 easily. Turn on the power, select your contact with your fingertip, and in 3 steps your conversation begins.

For a higher performance, you can combine your P3500 with a wide range of Ricoh projectors including ultra short-throw models.

• HD QUALITY

A resolution of 1280×720 and output rate of 30 frames per second create a smooth and realistic image. Get the impression that the person you are talking to is standing in front of you.

• AUTOMATIC EXPOSURE CONTROL

Even if one of the participants has a light source or a window behind him, the image is automatically adjusted to display the person in the most suitable brightness. Now you can get a clearer picture of people’s facial expressions.

• DYNAMIC MEDIA CONTROL

The built-in microphone and speakers have been improved so that even if you are at a distance from the device, you can still be heard distinctly and talk collision is suppressed.

Moreover, the quality of video, audio and PC screen sharing is adjusted according to your bandwidth.

On top of a wired LAN, the P3500 also supports wireless Internet (IEEE802.11a/b/g/n). In a wireless environment, you can freely start your visual communication anywhere.

Note: Separate power source and display device are required.

You can turn your camera in every direction, left to right and upside down. The P3500 can also be used as a document camera if you show a piece of paper in front of the camera.

P3500 X Ultra-Short Throw Projector

This projector can be placed 12 centimeters from the wall. You can use your work space efficiently and have carefree visual communication.

RICOH PJ WX4141 series

Because the light source of Ricoh’s ultra-short throw projector is not in front of the P3500, there is no hindrance for the projected image which could be caused by other participants. Moreover, the desk space you can use becomes larger so it is definitely recommended to be used with the P3500.
