The City of Richmond welcomes the world to join us for the BWF 5 th World Senior Championship, to be held at the Richmond Olympic Oval, the site for the Olympic Speed Skating. The last World Senior Championship was in Punta Umbria, Spain, 2009 and was previously held in Taipei, China, 2007,Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2005 and Sofia, Bulgaria, 2003.

All entries must be approved by the participant’s country’s Badminton Association and forwarded to the Badminton World Federation for registration.

The age categories and events are:35+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles40+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles45+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles50+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles55+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles60+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles65+ men and woman’s single, doubles, and mixed doubles And 70+ as a demonstration age category

There is a limit of four entries per country per event Qualification to enter is determined by each Country’s badminton association. .
