a cordless microphone). Finally, Linda introduced Pete Erb from the Walla Walla Sunrise Rotary Club. Pete was a past president of the club, is a dog-person and…Go Navy!

• Pam Larson is looking for Richland high school students that can be candidates for student-of-the-month. She also announced that the New Generations Committee needs members. Pam and her husband have been traveling quite a bit lately and would appreciate some assistance with handling the student-of-the-month program.

• Julie Funfar announced that on Tuesday, December 17, we will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Richland Rotary Club charter. • Bob Larson reminded us that it is cold in the Tri-Cities. This is particularly true if, like him, you’ve just returned from 15 days in Hawaii. Welcome back, Bob.

50/50Tim ran today’s unique, and aptly named, game of 50/50. There were only two chips to draw from the bucket – one winner and one loser and $250 in the pot ($99 came in today). Roy Keck’s ticket was pulled but unfortunately didn’t pull the winner chip. He did pull Rick’s number and Rick walked away with $10.

JudicialWe did not have a judicial session today.

Program – Committee MeetingsThere was no program today. After announcements, we broke out into committee meetings.

Committee Meetings took the place of programs today at Richland Rotary.

Hal’s HumorThe world’s first fully compterized airliner was ready for its maiden flight without pilots or crew. The plane taxied to the loading area automatically, its doors opened automatically, the steps came out automaticaly. The passengers boarded the plane and took their seats.

The steps retreated automatically, the doors closed, and the airplane taxied toward the runway.

“Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman,” a voice intoned as the airplane lifted off. “Welcome to the debut of the world’s first fully computerized airliner. Everything on this aircraft is run electornically. Just sit back and relax. Nothing can go wrong...go wrong...go wrong...
