CONCEPT DESIGN

Objective: design the 2018 version

of the Toyota GT86.

The current version of the GT86 was deconstructed,

and 2030 version of the car was envisioned:

2+2 seater with H2 fuel cells powering electric

awd, extreme low driving position for advanced

aerodynamics, etc. The intermediate concept

was derived from the current and the

envisioned model.

CONCEPT DESIGN

The 2018 GT86 concept runs on hydrogen, turned directly into rotary move-ment in a Wankel engine, assisted by compressed

air hybrid technology.

The Wankel engine oper-ates as a compressor in kynetic energy recovery

mode. The boost of the copressed air is directly controlled by the driver

for maximum driving experience, regarding the

basic concept of the current model.

CAR AIR REGISTER DESIGN

Objective: explore the design

possibilities of the car air register.

Client:

Cascade Engineering Automotive Europe

Various ideas, sketches and concepts were shown

and discussed with the client.

3 product proposals were elaborated to 3D models

with working mechanisms

CAR AIR REGISTER DESIGN

The chosen concept was embodied and ready-for-mass-production models

were created, regarding the requirements of

injection molding, assembling, etc. The 3D

printed prototype was successfully tested in

aerodynamics laboratory.

The main feature of the concept is

the asynchronous vane movement, enabling

optimal airflow around the passengers in every

direction.

SKETCHING AND RENDERING

These sketches and renderings were made for

various projects.

Some of them are just sketching media or technique studies,

learning by copying, there are some different

suspension studies and also fast and dirty ideation sketches.

POLYGONAL MODELING

This early fun project was carried out in order

to learn and explore the features, possibilites of a

polygonal modeling software (blender).

I played with different mesh topologies and

strategies, enities and layers, UV mapping, for

realistic head and rear lights explored various

light sources, refraction, transparancity settings,

and learned the very basics of computer

rendering as well.

3D SCANNINGSTYLING, SURFACE MODELING

Objective: Design a sporty,

characteristic, yet subdued body-kit for the

SAAB 9-3 SportSedan.

Client: A-Z Performance

The history and design philosophy of the SAAB

car company and the type 9-3 SS was the basis of

the styling. The dominant trends of the automotive

industry and the new findings of the field of

aerodynamics were taken into design consideration.

Page 25: Richard Revesz Automotive Portfolio 2015

STYLING, SURFACE MODELING

The 3 design proposals were presendted with

impression renderings as well.

The Eero concept is purely based on aerodynamics.

The Hooligan is more like

a traditional, flashy body-kit.

The Rager concept

expresses the 9-3’s initial idea , the “fun to drive”

experience.

STYLING, SURFACE MODELING2013-14 FALL

To create a ready-to-rapid-prototype CAD model, the whole car

was 3D scanned.

Based on the scanned point clouds the surface model was created with

the required accuracy to 3D mill the protype.

The prototype is being

manufactured.

Small series production starts in may, 2015.

LITECAR ChallengeObjective:

Create a purely concep-tual, novel lightweight

vehicle using advanced materials and innovative

structural solutions while maintaining or exceeding

current vehicle safety standards.

Capacity Concept’s

estimated overall mass reduction:

664 kg ~1464 lbs (40,5%)

resulting a 976 kg ~2151 lbs sedan

Page 31: Richard Revesz Automotive Portfolio 2015

DESING CHALLENGE2015 FEBRUARY

The main focus of the concept is a body that

mimics the nanostructure of a bird’s bone. This

results in a stiff and light-weight occupant cell, with

a porous inner structure having the benefit of a

large surface area, making it ideal for a super/

ultra capacitor system. Thus the BIW functions as an energy storage system

without mass increment.
