I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation and had a chance to relax and rejuvenate. It was a great time to connect with family and friends. We are back into the full swing of school at Richard Bulpitt. Students and staff are back into routine and learning is happening in all classrooms. It is always amazing to see how much growth happens even in the two weeks that children are not at school. Even our Kindergarten children have matured and are settling very well into the routine of the school day. At school we have started planning for the new year in September. Kindergarten registration will start on Monday January 19th. In order to be guaranteed a “spot” in our school, students need to be registered by March 31st. If you know of new families who have moved into our community, please let them know. It looks like we will have 3 or more classes of kindergarten students, so it is important to make sure your youngster is registered. As a school team we are also busy planning some new activities for the next few months. Look for news about Multicultural day happening on Thursday February 19th. (Chinese New Year) We are also planning a day for “Jump Rope For Heart” early in March. Our grade fours will be writing the Foundation Skills Assessments in February, which is required by the Ministry of Education. There will be more information about this in the next few weeks. From all of us at Richard Bulpitt, have a wonderful New Year and as always, we look forward to learning with our families in our community. Mrs. Lucy Lenko
