- Assembly / Inflation Instructions Inflate your board with the pump included. This pump comes complete with the hose and adapters to fit the valves on this board. The Inflation Procedure is as follows:

1. Choose a smooth and clean surface to unfold your board.2. Unscrew the valve cap.3. Push button in and turn approximately 90 degrees so it is in the “OUT” position.4. Attach the hose to the pump at one end and to the board at the other. Turn the value to secure in place at both ends.5. Inflate until you reach the required pressure, checking the pressure gauge on the pump frequently.6. After inflation, tighten the valve cap (clockwise). Only the valve cap can ensure total air tightness and ensure no particles can enter the air chamber.7. Once fully inflated the large fin can be attached by sliding the base through the grooves on the underside of the board and securing in place with the pin provided.

Tip: if the pump piston starts to squeak, apply some spray silicone to the piston shaft.

02

- Deflation Instructions1. Remove the valve cap and push the button in with your finger, there will be a sudden burst of air release but this will slow down quickly. Once slowed, with your finger still on the button, turn it approximately 90 degrees so it is in the “IN” position and locked down to allow the air to escape.

2. Remove the large fin and roll the board starting with the opposite end to the valve.

3. Use the storage bag provided to keep your board and accessories in whilst not in use.

Recommend air pressure for this product is 15-18 psi/1.24 bars DO NOT INFLATE BEYOND 20 PSI/1.72 BARS. THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

• The board can be inflated with an electric pump to save time. Electric pumps can achieve approximately 60-80% inflation but the hand pump will be needed to finish off the inflation in order to reach the desired pressure.

• Do not use an air compressor. It will result in damage to the board, and will void all warranties.• If you leave your board exposed to the hot sun, check the pressure and deflate it slightly. Otherwise, the

board may become over inflated and stretch the material. The ambient temperature affects the tube’s internal pressure; a variation of 1°C/ 1.8°F causes a variation of the pressure in the tube of +/- 4 mbar (0.06psi)

• If you are inflating the board in hot sun then slightly under-inflate the board as the heat from the sun will increase the internal air pressure. When paddling in colder temperatures, the water may cause a slight loss in chamber pressure. It is a good idea to carry a pump with you so that you can add some air to the board if necessary.

• If leaving your board inflated for a few days there may be a small decrease in pressure due to temperature changes. If so then a few pumps of air with the hand pump may be required.

• Before going on a long paddle trip it is recommended to inflate the board a full 24 hours beforehand to ensure the board is airtight and in full working order. If you notice any consistent decreases in the air pressure you will need to follow the instructions for leak detection in this manual.

- How To Use• Assume a comfortable standing position with your feet roughly shoulders width apart. Bend your knees slightly

into a relaxed stance, bring your shoulders back and look straight ahead into the direction of travel.• To grip the paddle, place one hand on the handle at the top of the paddle and your other hand lower down

the paddle shaft in a comfortable place with both arms slightly bent. Usually about 60cm (24”) or so down the paddle shaft is suitable.

• To paddle in a forward motion, push the paddle through the water bringing it along side the board passing your hip. Alternate sides to maintain a straight paddling direction.

• To turn left move the paddle to the right hand side on the board and concentrate the paddling there, to turn right the opposite is true.

- Maintenance 1. Clean and check the board as well as all the accessories after each use. Avoid harsh chemicals; most dirt can be removed with a mild soap and fresh water.2. Make sure the board is completely dry before putting it away.3. Make sure that no sand or gravel remains inside the board or between the hull and the inner chambers. This could result in abrasion or even punctures while storing the board. 4. When storing your board, keep it in a clean and dry place. Whenever you take your board out of the water and deflate it, allow time for it to air out and dry. Neither the skin/hull nor the inside chambers will suffer from water damage, but stagnant water could cause mildew and foul odor. 5. Avoid storing your board exposed to weather or in direct sunlight.6. Do not store your board in extreme temperature conditions i.e. above 66°C/150°F or below -23°C/-10°F

- Leak DetectionIf you are losing air pressure in your board and you suspect a tear or a puncture then check for leaks. Start with the valve (although a leak here is rare) and use a soap and water solution which you can then spray/ coat over the surrounding area. If you see bubbles forming then check the valve is securely in place in its housing, if you continue to have issues with the valve then a new one may be required. Replacing the valve is a simple task that can be done with extra instructions gained from Riber Products Ltd., if and when required.

If the board is losing pressure and the valve is not the culprit then there may be a small puncture or tear. These can be repaired easily and permanently by following the instructions in this guide. To find where the small puncture or tear is you will need to use a soap and water solution again to spray/ coat entire board and look for bubbles foaming. We recommend that you do this is stages choosing a small area to focus on at a time. If you find any bubbles then mark these areas so they can be repaired. If you cannot find any bubbles you can also try pumping the board up to full pressure and listening for any air escaping. This may help to narrow down the area you need to search so you can use the soap and water solution again in a more concentrated area to find the source of the leak.

- How to Repair Small Punctures or tearsThis board is made from high quality, durable PVC which can easily be repaired if a tear or puncture does occur by following the steps below:

1. Check that the board is fully deflated and lies flat. 2. Prepare a round patch no less than 3 inches or 7 centimeters in diameter.3. Clean the patch and the area surrounding the leak with alcohol.4. To contain excess glue, use masking tape to tape off the area around the patch.5. Apply 3 thin, even coats of repair kit adhesive to both the surface of board and the patch. Wait 5 minutes between each coat.6. After the 3rd coat, wait 10-15 minutes before applying the patch. Use a hand roller to apply the patch evenly and press down firmly. Pay special attention to the edges to ensure a quality seal. 7. Use a small weight to maintain pressure over the new patch whilst it dries for approximately 12 hours. After the patch has dried remove the weight and apply glue around the edge for a complete seal. Allow a further 4 hours for this to fully dry.8. Wait 24 hours before re-inflating.

• Perform all of your repairs in a well-ventilated area . • Avoid inhaling toxic vapors.• Avoid contact with the skin or the eyes.• Keep all repair materials (glue, solvents, etc) away from the reach of children. The repairs on the welds must

not be glued. Only the manufacturer of the board can perform repairs on the glued seams themselves.
