Riaz Ahmad Saeed is an Academician and Research Scholar in the field of the Study of Religions and Thoughts. He
is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator at Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of
Social Sciences- National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad-Pakistan. He received an MPhil in
Comparative Religions from the International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2011, and awarded the Doctoral
degree in the Study of Religions and Thoughts from the Institute of Islamic Studies, University of Punjab- Lahore in
2018. His area of research includes the Study of Religions, Thoughts, Orientalism, interfaith issues and its related
disciplines. He is having an academic and research experience of more than 13 years in various reputed institutions
to date (November 2020). He has served as In-charge department, Conference/ Workshop Coordinator, Project
leader, event organizer, Department coordinator and journal’s editor in various capacities.
He has produced more than 50 research papers published in reputed national and international journals in W,
X and Y category on the study of religions, thoughts, orientalism, interfaith dialogue, relation and harmony, human
rights and minority’s issues. He has also participated in more than 30 national and international conferences,
presenting articles on diverse topics. He has attended numerous training sessions, workshops and faculty
development programs. He has also chaired, demonstrated and participated as subject expert in different events. He
has been a member of various national and international academic and research forums and currently is the editor of
Pakistan's prime journal on the study of religion and thought, "Al-Milal: Journal of Religion and Thought" ( ISSN: 2663-
4392). He is serving as Secretory Board of Directors, Pakistan Society of Religion (PSR)-Islamabad since 2018. He
has been a member of the board of directors of Asian Research Index (ARI) and Asian Research Thesis Index (ARTI)
since 2019. He has also been granted the HEC Best Paper Award for the session 2017-18. Recently, he is awarded
PhD Approved Supervisor status from Higher Education Commission, Islamabad-Pakistan in August 2020.

He strongly believes in a peaceful and diverse society. To achieve the goal, he is part of some important
interfaith and welfare organizations for the development and prosperity of the humanity. In a future project he wants
to establish a Center for Peace and Intefaitrh dialogue with Natioanl and International collaboration.
