    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    Role Title Business Reports to

    Graduate Engineer (Maritime) Maritime Principal/Senior Engineer

    PURPOSE

    Join a team of specialist staff to deliver conceptual and detailed technical solutions to marine civilengineering problems. The role is suitable for an engineer with some previous maritime experienceinterested in working with a diverse range of UK and international clients on straight forward tocomplex commissions.

    The position is based in the Liverpool Maritime office, but may include short or long visits to projectsin the UK, Western Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Gulf.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    1. To support our design teams undertaking and managing the day to day operations of projectsin respect of the following key areas

    Maritime engineering work on a range of commissions principally relating to port, harbourand waterfront projects

    Participate in the production of engineering design calculations and design details, reportsfor maritime projects throughout the project cycle including master planning, concept,preliminary and detailed design, Pre-FEED and FEED, design and build, contractprocurement and administration

    Contribute to the production of technical commercial and contractual documents for theprocurement of engineering projects.

    2. Contribute to business development opportunities with both internal and external Clients.

    Work to raise the profile of Mouchel Maritime both internally and externally3. Undertake own continuing professional development to achieve personal Chartered status

    and assist in the development of others

    4. Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and qualitystandards

    5. Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broadparameters of your role.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Qualifications A degree in a Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering discipline. Ideally witha further Marine postgraduate qualification.

    Knowledge /Experience

    Ability to support in the delivery of engineering projects and reports

    Familiarity with and ability to interrogate some civil and structural designsoftware is an advantage.

    Technical Skills /Ability

    Fluent written and verbal English. Competent with MS Office suite programs

    Ability to work on own initiative on technical and business matters and managetheir own time and that of others

    Knowledge of the design of marine structures, coastal processes and/or use ofpackages such as WALLOP, STAAD-PRO would be beneficial.
