The Great Fraud band hailing from the arches of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, NJ is launching the flight of their debut album the Brass Balloon. As an encore to winning the Hard Rock Café “Rising” battle of the bands in Times Square New York City, this dynamic band has kept the throttle down working hard at launching the highly anticipated album. The stories the music tells will take you on a journey and your ears will be saturated with a unique blended sound with influences from great artists Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Muddy Waters among other iconic roots rock and blues bands.
The Brass Balloon album was engineered and mixed by John Seymour of Media 51 studios [http://www.media51.com/] a Grammy award winning engineer who spent years at Electric Ladyland Studios [ http://www.electricladystudios.com/ ] working with top artists U2, Dave Matthews, Santana, Maxwell, Richie Havens among others. “Working with Media 51 is a perfect fit with the style of music we play – he get’s our vibe” –Joe Marrero of The Great Fraud.
Local clubs owners and music aficionados who have heard the album are saying that “these guys are one of the best bands we have heard in a real long time” -Jon Klein, The Stanhope House, “a mandatory album for your music collection - these guys are no frauds they are the real deal” -Mike Watterston, WNTI Radio.
“The Great Fraud had an energized stage presence and their guitarist Joe Marrero had flashy moves such as playing behind his head and with his teeth. Their set was up-tempo and their songs were engaging with catchy hooks.
“Let’s Go Out and Play” had a playful mood with the drum punctuating the swinging swagger of the tune. “Mystery Man” was mes-merizing and “Roll Down” was a robust rocker. The blues rock blend that The Great Fraud presented was well received by Fudge fans and they are rightly reaching for a brass ring with The Brass Balloon. R.Lynch -Soundpress.net
