APPLICATION OF RFID

Page 11: RFID

Advantages• can accommodate more data• The size is very small ( for this type of passive RFID ) so easily implanted• Shape and design flexible so it is very easy to use in various places• The reading of information is very easy , because the shape and the field does not affect the reading , as often happens in the barcode ,

magnetic etc .• Distance readings for further data than barcodes• The speed of data readout much faster than barcode

Page 12: RFID

Disadvantages

• Information will be chaos if there is more than one RFID chip through one reader simultaneously

• If there is a frequency overlap ( two frequencies of readers are in one area ) can provide information incorrect data on a computer / data processor so that the accuracy will be reduced)

• Disruption will occur if there are other frequencies emitted by other equipment which is not intended for RFID , so that the chip will respond to those frequencies

• Privacy someone will automatically be reduced, because anyone can read information from a person from a distance as long as the person has a reader
