My Picture’s talking!

Remember the story of Japan bombed by the allies? Indeed, only 2 areas, Hiro-shima and Nagasaki. But it can be said, Japan destroyed ! Japan has been hit ! Japan wail ! Almost in all facets of life. Like economic, political, cultural, security and so forth.

I carrying a photos of woman dressed in kimono (a Japanese’s Cultural dress) in order to show how they ‘learn’ from the past. Improve self in all aspect of life that had been destroyed. But still maintaining their culture. Now, Japan is proud of their technology’s progress (primary) but did not left their ancestral’s wealth. At the same time they continues to seek ‘new discoveries’ in any fields (fashion, design, lifestyle, art, etc.). The smoldering fire is not for a symbol of the anger that I want to show. But the revival that continued to flare and burn away within the every Japanese personal.

We (Indonesian) has to learn from others (in this introduction is from Japan). Indeed, we are afflicted by rampant corruption in this country. We only ‘a scorn state’ by other countries. As a country that has a huge population of religious people, but it does not reflect, that Religion and Indonesian people makes trouble. Ideally, Religion makes every Indonesian People being a civilized and immoral people. But we still have Pancasila who wrote that we are a civilized nation. With this motto, we could definitely improve it. So long as we wanted to improve.

I had the instinct! And the beast got! What is the difference between me and the animals? I have a sense? But why do my sense goes to ‘hurt’ someone else? Are my people no more than a set of people who should learn from animals? Which were killing just because they are hungry or threatened? The difference is only like I’m hungry but with my mind I can beat my people, is that so?

I never choose if I could be born without instincts or not. Due to the instinct and the brain that I have, it’s a gift of the Creator. Precisely because both of them, I be called the perfect creatures of God.

It’s a grace when I visited one of the main zoo. Indeed, I had planned to visit the place and photographing these animals. In some media, it has been much written about animal photography (especially in engineering). Macro shooting techniques are more often used for photographing animals such as spiders, butterflies, and so forth. In fact there is a friend who told me how to shoot the animal, a little ‘tortured’. With the feet of animals such as but-terflies, flies, dragonflies and other animals glued on the leaves so it can not move / fly. That way is claimed by him as a very easy way to get a good result. It can not be denied that the result was very good in the end. Many arguments (disagreement) about it. I never defended one of the parties, but the ‘torture’ way is never I have done. And also in this discussion, we will not discuss the debate. But this time I tried to learn something that is ‘different’ from the photography of animals (not by a ‘torture’ way).

It turns out that what I get is truly extraordinary. We know all the actions / behavior of animals based on instinct. While humans based on (more on) the brain (mindset). But God created hu-mans in their entirety. This means that in addition to thinking with the brain, humans also have the instinct. With me photographing these animals naturally, it is actually a roundabout way, I’m ‘training’ my instinct. this way is what I use when i want to take pictures.

Indeed there is another knowledge or learning, especially about the technical problems. However, it can be discussed in different topics. So if we want to train ourself, actually God has created everything very, very well. All we have to do is ‘opens it’ so that we can know how great the works of the Creator.
