We use CAPITAL LETTERS – at the beginning of a sentence to begin a proper noun names for the name of days and months before the titles – name of stories, poems, songs, books, newspaper,
magazine. for the pronoun “I”
Full stops, commas and question marks are marks of punctuation that are used in a sentence or a paragraph. We put a FULL STOP (.) at the end of a sentence. We put a QUESTION MARK (?) at the end of a sentence where something is
been asked or inquired. When we give a list of words in a sentence, we use a COMMA (,) between
the words. We use a comma to separate the words in a sentence. In a sentence, lists of names or other items, if more than two in
number, are separated by a comma. The last item in the list is separated from the previous one by and. For example, I bought textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils and erasers.
When the written text is part of a conversation, a comma separates the rest of the sentence from the name or designation of the person. For example, Please excuse me, Sir. Rita, please bring me a glass of water.
