The  projections  under  a    mid-­‐range  growth  scenario  include:

Projected Economic Impact of UAB (FY 19-20)

UYlizing  the  assumpYons  of  a  mid-­‐range  growth  scenario,  it  is  projected  that  by  FY  19-­‐20  the  business  volume  impact  of  UAB  will  increase  to  $6.6  billion  ($2.8  billion  direct  impact  and  $3.7  billion  indirect).

It  is  projected  that  the  expansion  of  UAB  by  FY  19-­‐20  will  have  a  significant  impact  on  state  and  local  government  revenues.    UYlizing  a  mid-­‐range  growth  scenario,  it  is  projected  that  state  and  local  government  revenues  a\ributable  to  the  presence  of  an  expanded  UAB  will  total  $431.4  million  (direct  and  indirect).    

UAB’s  projected  growth  will  have  an  even  stronger  impact  on  the  state.    UYlizing  a  mid-­‐range  growth  scenario,  it  is  projected  that  a  total  of  72,450  jobs  will  be  created  and  sustained  by  UAB  by  FY  19-­‐20  ––  an  increase  of  over  11,000  jobs.
