Placed under the High patronage of HRM the King Mohammed VI may God assist him, the 8th edition of PLASTEXPO confirmed its status as an unavoidable meeting point of businesses and anchored Morocco’s position as a regional hub of the plastics industry.

A privileged showcase of the moroccan industry and its actors, and with the support of Maroc PME and the AMDIE, this event emphasises the South-South links as well as the international multilateral exchanges, in addition, it incontestably confirms edition by edition, its position as an exchange platform for euro-mediterranean, african and arab plastics experts.

exhibitors and visitors were able to discover a scientific and technical outreach program which was pursued all along the 4 days of the exhibit until the 28th of june 2019.

This event witnessed the organization of the plastics industry conference, theinternational congress Plasturgia 2019 and the job Forum 2019.

The 8th edition of PLASTEXPO concluded with a success, and results that surpassed the expected objectives: a new record number of exhibitors, with almost 300 companies present, 8243 visitors, 6500 m² net, the participation of prominent persons during the inauguration and at the three manifestations that were held, the convention signings, tributes of important people belonging to the plastic processing business world, the nomination of moroccan plastic processing ambassadors in Morocco on the international level, in addition to the press coverage held by hundreds of journalists that belong to national and international media channels.

WORD FROM THE FMP

Welcome to the 8th edition of PLASTEXPO which is held at Casablanca from the 25th to 28th June 2019, under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI may God praise him, and with our parent ministry, the Ministry of Industry.

In a global economic integration environment, the moroccan sectoral corporation which covers the plastic processing sectors continues its involvement with its members and its private and public sectoral partners in order to evolve and promote this unique sectoral african platform that is the greatest within the continent in the B to B and B to C department.

This 8th edition of the PLASTEXPO trade fair promises to be one of the most successful events of the year, national and international market leaders in the plastic processing industry are at the rendez vous to confirm yet again their supremacy, and showcase their achievements and innovations in this sector.

In fact, the organisers have endeavoured to display a new image of this trade fair to mark this 8th edition of the Plast expo as the unmissable North-South sectoral meeting.

Which sector accompanies the most important global businesses in Morocco, the growth of which is in the double digits.

An exhibition similar to the PLASTEXPO confirms Morocco’s position as the ideal hub and platform in the transfer of the industrial and commercial flux between Africa, Europe, the Middle East and The United States.

This edition will know the holding of the plastics industry conference, with the participation of internationally renown experts to debate about subjects that would serve as a step to the development of the moroccan plastic processing industry, such as innovation, the reglementary environment, the training,...

The congress Plasturgia, which is a unique scientific and technical congress of plastic processing in Morocco, organized in partnership with the university, the R&D association et the moroccan office of the industrial property will be an additional occasion to strengthen the collaboration dynamics between the profession and the research centers to advertise the R&D and the innovation in the plastics industry.

The Job forum is a meeting and debate platform on the realities of the training in the plastics sector and on the challenges to issue in this domain.

Similar to previously held editions, for us professionals of the plastics industry in Morocco and the organizers of the exhibit, the success of this event is one of the greatest ambitions and a real challenge that today, we are pleased for raising it and congratulate our partners, our colleges and our old friends for accompanying us to it.

We subscribe,as in previous editions, to a continuous improvement dynamic and we have aspirations to continue to provide our exhibitors a sustained and unique environment for doing business with high quality meetings and round tables.

The opening of the exhibit was presided by Mr. Hicham EL HAID, President of the FMP, Dr. Nabil SAOUAF general Commissioner of the Exhibit and Delegated Director of the FMP, Dr. Youssef Hassan Khalawi, General Secretary of the ICCIA, Mr. Hicham DAHRABOU, President PLASTEXPO 2019, Dr Brahim ZAGHLOUL, President of the International Congress Plasturgia, Ms. Ikram ETTIS, Global Fairs and Events Director, delegated organizer, and most evidently the official representatives of the Ministry of Industry, investment, commerce and digital economy,the AMDIE, Maroc Entreprises,...

Additionally, the opening has known official discourses, the signing of a memorandum of agreement between the Moroccan Federation of Plasturgie “F.M.P” and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture “ICCA”.

The FMP has also honored the great industrialist Bouchaib KASBANE, UNIPLAST MAGHREB CEO for his contribution to the efforts to unite the plastic processing sector and for his support and accompany to the plastic bags industrials to conform to the royal project of banning checkout bags.

The exceptional media coverage and the marketing campaign contributed greatly to the success of the event, the advertisement of the moroccan plastic processing sector both at the national and international level and has not only promoted the anchoring of this business platform as being the only one of its kind on the national, regional and international level, but has also realised incontestably successful B to B meetings between the exhibitors and the industry’s decision makers in the euro-mediterranean, african and arab zones.
