DYNAMIC CATHOLIC, ALIVE! Putting Our Spiritual Lives in Order
“Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her” (Jn 8:7). Christ, of course, detests sin—he tells the adulterous woman to sin no more—but we must have our own spiritual lives in order before chastising others. It is easy to spot the sins of others, while ignoring our own sins. Sin is an offense against reason, truth, and right conscience; it is failure in genuine love for God and neighbor caused by a perverse attachment to certain goods” (CCC, 1849). What step can you take this week to put your spiritual life in order? archstl.org/dynamic

Dear Parishioners,
I extend a very warm welcome to all who are joining us this Sunday for our annual Holy Infant St. Patrick’s celebration! There are many activities scheduled throughout the day beginning at 1:00 in the afternoon and continuing until 7:00 p.m. This is definitely a time-honored tradition in our parish community!
All are welcome to participate in the festivities scheduled throughout the day. In our gymnasium, there are many carnival games for families to enjoy. Also in the gym, our Irish Dancers and McNamara’s Band will be performing on stage. We have outdoor inflatables, a DJ, Bingo and games for the entire family!
In our Lower Cafeteria, come and enjoy a delicious Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner. We are also serving a variety of beverages and food upstairs.
This year, many fantastic items are available at our Silent Auction which is located in our Upper Cafeteria. Items which were donated to our Silent Auction this year include a certificate for braces from Century Orthodontics, a three day adventure to the Lake of the Ozarks, a four night stay at Wyndham Meadows in Branson, passes for Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana, and a stay at Eagle Hurst Ranch. There is also a weekend adventure at Metro Lofts in the Central West End which includes movie passes and dining certificates. We have concert tickets, a baseball signed by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, tickets to St. Louis Cardinals baseball games, a certificate from Dr. Andrew Burns at Body Balance Chiropractic , several landscaping packages, a variety of “date nights,” a certificate for a wine tasting party, a behind the scenes tour of news-channel 5 with Heidi Glaus, a large variety of certificates for dining, a Picnic with Sr. Rosario and Mrs. McQuaide, a Pizza Party hosted by the parish priests, a special basket filled with Virtue Based Books as well as packages which include many creative adventures around town. There is also an IPad Mini Raffle at the Silent Auction this year!
Also in our Upper Cafeteria you will find many incredible baskets filled with various items on display. There are raffle tickets available for any who would like to take a chance on winning one of these baskets.
Our 3 Raffles: the Super Raffle, the Grand Raffle and the Tuition Raffle will all be drawn at 7:00 tonight on stage in our gymnasium.
Thanks, in advance, to everyone who supports this long standing parish celebration!
On a final note, this coming Thursday, March 17th, I will be having a special St. Patrick’s Day Mass at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. James the Greater in Dogtown. If you are planning to be in the neighborhood for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, I hope that you can attend this special liturgy. I will look forward to seeing you!
God’s blessings to you and your family!

STEWARDSHIP Through February 28, 2016 (Week 35)
“For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much rubbish, that I may gain
Christ…” Philippians 3:8
The first commandment says that we shall not put other gods before the Lord. Detaching ourselves from material possessions and considering them “rubbish” does just that. It strengthens our relationship with Jesus and allows us to live more freely and joyfully.

READING SCRIPTURE
A reminder from Fr. Larry Richards is to read scripture every day. “Ignorance of the bible is ignorance of Christ.” He suggested opening the bible and reading it until something speaks to you.
There are other ways to read the bible. Bible Basics for Catholics, given out at Christmas is a wonderful way to start. It gives a path to understanding the scriptures in simple, everyday language. It also brings to mind many things that we have never thought of and questions that we have never considered. It’s not too late for Lent. The Bible basics book is a good place to start especially since this is the year of study in the Archdiocesan Dynamic Catholic program. All who attended the book review agreed it was an exciting beginning for scripture study.
ST. JOSEPH’S FEAST DAY…..All are welcome to commemorate the Feast of St. Joseph at La Salle Retreat Center on March 19. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., pay a visit to the awe-inspiring St. Joseph grotto (built by the Christian Broth-ers in 1934), and enjoy refreshments and activities in the Brothers’ Common Room. This is a great opportunity as the end of Lent draws near. A prayer service will conclude the day at 1:30pm. Signs will direct you for parking. Please call (636) 938-5374 for more information.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FOOD DRIVE The Knights will be collecting food on March 19 and 20 for the food pantry at our sister parish St. Wenceslaus. Please drop off any nonperishable donations to the Upper or Lower Vestibules on that weekend. Thank you! Suggested items include: personal items such as deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Food items needed are: chili, corn muffin mix, canned meat or fish products, stew, pasta sauce, pork and beans, pancake mix and
FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT MARCH 13, 2016
Please make check payable to K. O. C. and mail to K. O. C., 98 Baxter Acres Dr., Ballwin, MO 63011.
Dear Friends,
It’s baseball season again and the Knights invite you to register for our spring and summer 2016 game, “Play Baseball with the Knights.”
It couldn’t be simpler to play. Here’s how it works. Each registered participant will receive a randomly drawn “Play Baseball with the Knights” certificate for the 2016 baseball season. Each certificate will have the names of three National League Baseball Teams. These three teams are your participating teams for the entire 26 week baseball season and will determine whether or not you are a winner in our game.
THERE WILL BE A WINNER EVERY WEEK! IT’S A 50/50 PAYOUT!
Each week of the season, our “Play Baseball” committee will total the number of runs each National League team scores during games played that week (for the purpose of this game, a week is defined as beginning on Monday and ending the following Sunday). The holder of the certificate with the three teams that scored the highest combined total number of runs that week will be awarded an amount based on the number of tickets sold.
If no one has purchased that ticket, the holder of the highest points sold will WIN a smaller award. The next week’s highest combo award winner will be higher! The holder of the certificate with the three teams that scored the fewest combined total number of runs that week will be awarded an amount determined by participation. Again, if no winner, the next week’s winner will be higher! Multiple winners divide the award. You can register once and you’re eligible all 26 weeks. It’s that easy.
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON COSTS ONLY $25.00 (THAT’S LESS THAN $1.00 PER WEEK TO PLAY). To register for the 2016 season, complete the attached form and return it by March 20th with $25.00. Then look for your certificate(s) in time for Opening Day of the 2016 baseball season.
Don’t forget to invite your family and friends to play too! The registration form is below. Feel free to make copies of this registration form for them. By the way, there are only 458 possible combinations, so odds of winning are not in the millions.
IT’S SIMPLE; IT’S FUN; AND YOU’RE HELPING THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS IN THEIR CHARITABLE ENDEAVORS, SO REGISTER TODAY!

VISITING SEVEN CHURCHES TOUR HOLY THURSDAY MARCH 24
We invite you to join your fellow Holy Infant parishioners in the ancient devotion of Visiting Seven Churches on March 24 following our Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper. You are welcome to ride the bus ($10 fee) or caravan behind the bus as we journey to 6 churches to pray before their Altars of Repose. Please make your reservation for the bus and have the money to the parish office by Monday, March 21.
Please continue to pray for the 40 Days for Life Campaign which will be ending
on Sunday, March 20th!!
Even though Holy Infant Church has had its adopted day on Sunday, March 6th, the remainder of the campaign still needs prayers for the volunteers praying on the sidewalk, the unborn children, and the mothers
and fathers in their confusion and fear, and for the conversion of heart of the abortionists, and the
closure of the abortion clinic.
Your prayers are needed and powerful!
Does It Work? In a word: YES!!
Because of the prayer presence in front of the abortion facility, God has moved in powerful and tangible ways:
• Over 11,000 babies have been spared from abortion by mothers turning around and not keeping their appointments
• 101 abortion workers converted • 56 closed abortion centers
