The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Wiles was born in Wilkes County, March 30, 1939, to William Cortez and Lura Pruitt Wiles. He was employed by ~ Lowes Companies, Inc. and was pastor at Elk Spur Baptist Church. - - ·Surviving are his wife, Lois Hall Wiles of the home; three sons, Ricky (Lorraine) Wiles of Traphill, Rev.Micky (Lynn) Wiles of Thurmond and Rev. Brian (Melissa) Wiles of Elkin; four grandchildren, Steven Wiles, Joshua Wiles, Nicole Wiles and Kristen Wiles; five sisters, Reba Durham of Wilkesboro, Velno Johnson of Elkin, Josie Crouse of Traphill, Mildred Billings of Thurmond and Vivian Durham of Roaring River; six brothers, Stacy Wiles of Elkin, Rev. L.R. Wiles of Thurmond, L.D. Wiles, Bryce Wiles, Ronnie Wiles and Dexter Wiles, all of Traphill; and --.... one half-sister, Nellie Ford of Jonesville. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home in Elkin.
