Document id: WARES24PS rev 1 The Researcher™ ReUse hollow fiber membrane cartridges are positioned between the laboratory scale Explorer™ ReUse and the larger pilot scale Investigator™ ReUse cartridges and are designed for concentration and diafiltration of peptides, enzymes, monoclonal antibodies and other proteins and vaccines as well as cell harvest and cell clarification. The membrane surface area for the Researcher™24 ReUse is 940 cm 2 making it suitable for preparative biopharmaceutical work with sample volumes between 700 mL and 4,000 mL, and a permeate flow rate for ultrafiltration processes of up to 5,600 mL/hr. The Researcher™ ReUse cartridges are made with WaterSep’s low binding, antifouling, modified polyethersulfone membrane (m-PES) and are offered in molecular weight cut-offs (MWCO) that range from 3K to 750K, and in pore sizes between 0.1μm, and 0.45μm, with Lumen ID’s of 0.5mm, 1.0mm and 2.0mm. The Researcher™ ReUse cartridges are offered with the same path length as other high performance WaterSep hollow fiber cartridges, This makes scale up/scale down easy and predictable. The Researcher™24 ReUse cartridges can be sanitized and cleaned in 0.5-1.0 N NaOH, and stored in 0.1 N NaOH between uses.
