Dear Lehigh Class Leadership Volunteer,
Thank you for investing your valuable time and resources in reunion. Each year, 1,200 alumni, family, and friends return to Old South Mountain to reconnect with each other and with beloved Lehigh. A renewed sense of Lehigh pride is instilled as attendees reflect back on their memories and experience on campus and learn more about how current-day faculty, staff, and alumni are impacting the world.
Reunion class leaders like you help make the reunion celebration extra special for fellow classmates by engaging peers to connect with Lehigh in a variety of meaningful ways.
By encouraging your classmates to “come back” to campus and to “give back” to your alma mater, you and your fellow alumni ensure a unforgettable, successful reunion celebration, while preserving the hallmark Lehigh experience for future generations of students.
This handbook outlines essential information to help you develop and implement a stellar reunion.
We hope you enjoy your volunteer experience, and we look forward to partnering with you in the months ahead.
With Gratitude,
Meghan Wolf ’02 ’03 Susan LopezDirector Director Reunion Giving Traditional Programs

Reunion Giving Supports the Lehigh ExperienceWhat is Reunion Giving?Lehigh depends on the generosity, enthusiasm and spirit of reunion classes to anchortheLehighFund.Celebratingareunionmilestoneisanopportunityto reconnect with classmates and return to campus and also provides an opportunity for increased financial support by strengthening individual and class affinity to Lehigh. Successful reunion classes set the standard for both Alumni Weekend attendance and gifts to the Lehigh Fund to inspire other alumni to do the same.
The Case for Participation in a Class GiftThe number of alumni who make gifts to Lehigh each year determines your alma mater’s participation rate. Every gift, regardless of size or designation, influences Lehigh’s participation rate. There is strength in numbers.
Asa Packer SocietyThe Asa Packer Society celebrates and engages Lehigh’s most committed annual supporters. Many alumni choose to join the Asa Packer Society during reunion to honor their time at Lehigh.
Plus, the Alumni Relations team has put reunion classes to a challenge. Each reunion class that exceeds its Asa Packer Society member goal will enjoy a champagne toast at its class reception, compliments of Lehigh—complete with acommemorativechampagneflute!
LevelsFounder’s Associate $25,000+ giftPresident’s Associate $10,000+ giftSociety Associate $1,000+ giftYoung Alumni Leader $500+ gift (alumni last 6-10 years)
$250+ gift (alumni last 0-5 years)
It only takes 450 alumni gifts to increase Lehigh’s participation rate by 1%.
With your help, the Lehigh Fund will generate more than $15 million for immediate use this year. That's equal to what's generated by $300 million in endowment.
