BOAT IS SINKING ACTIVITY
Materials:
Pen and Paper
Procedure:
Tell a story that they are going to have a journey in life:
Le The students make a boat out of a paper with them. If they dont know how ask
someone to teach them.
ow! write the names"#$% of your classmates that you want to be with you every
day even until college.
#. &ou observed that the boat is trying to sink so &ou need to remove ' people
from your boat to avoid sinking.
'. (ut the boat is still sinking so you need to remove again ' more people in theboat for the boat to totally )oat.
*. +o totally! the boat becomes stable but here comes the waves. ,gain you
need to remove ' more people to lighten up the boats weight and avoid from
sinking.-. ow! ' sharks try to destroy your boat but it can only be prevented by giving
' more friends to the sharks and the sharks will not bother you anymore and
go away.. ow! you successfully reached your destination but you are asked to pay for
the toll in the port but you dont have money. The coastguard said that you
can go with your friends if ever you are going to leave # friend with the
guard.ow! there are only ' people left in the boat. /hy did you choose to let him0her stay
with you1

Lastly! give that boat to the person you chose to be with until you graduate.

Procedure:
#. 4n a black bond paper write your name.'. Paste0tape a bond paper at your back.*. The facilitator will say 54 then it is the signal to roam around and let
someone write on your bond paper regarding your attitude! behaviour or
anything whether positive or negative.-. ,fter minutes! stop and get the paper at your back and try to re)ect if
the characteristics are same as yours..

,% 5roup members are divided into three lines of e?ual numbers.
(% They are instructed that they are going to get some type of emotional message
across to the person directly behind them! passing the message through the line to
the last person in the line. The last person will then write that message on a
blackboard "or newspring% behind him. 4ne catch the message must be
communicated non6verbally! using only your eyes! face and hands. @ample: themessage is AIBm happyA . . . the action could be a broad smile. There should be no
talking whatsoever. o acknowledgements that a person has the message wrong or
correct.

#% Cave the people who are not trying to receive the message at that time face
the blackboard and have them turn around one at a time with a tap of their
shoulder.
9% ,fter the last person in the last line to >nish completes the message on the
blackboard! each person at the start of the line begins another message until a
series of eight messages are completed.
