Small Group Instructional Diagnosis A Small Group Instructional Diagnosis (SGID) is a means for gathering input from students at a point in time during the semester whenyou may be able to use the feedback to improve students’ learning and experiences in your course. It is a great way to evaluate what'sworking well (and what's not!) in the course, and to determine what, if anything, can be done to help students be successful duringthe remainder of the semester. An experienced facilitator from FCTL will lead a focus group process with your students. The feedbackwill, in turn, be shared with you, the instructor. SGIDs can be conducted for face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online courses. If you are interested in scheduling an SGID for any of your courses, please contact FCTL at [email protected] or 231.591.3826.
