INTRODUCTION

Anna Rappaport, F.S.A., M.A.A.A., is an actuary, consultant, author, and speaker, and is a nationally and internationally recognized expert on the impact of change on retirement systems and workforce issues. She is a phased retiree and is passionate about women’s retirement security. Anna is a past-President of the Society of Actuaries and chairs its Committee on Post-Retirement Needs and Risks. Anna has been involved with the Society of Actuaries risk research since its inception. Anna serves on the Board of the Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement (WISER), and the Advisory Board of the Pension Research Council. Anna completed 50 years as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in 2013. Anna served on the ERISA Advisory Council from 2010 to 2012. She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Plan Sponsor Council of America in 2017. She has an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Neil Lloyd is a Partner and Heads US DC & Financial Wellness Research at Mercer, where he uses his actuarial, investment and international expertise to lead the research activities. He is a member of Mercer’s DC Committee, DC Investment Committee and the US Target Date Fund Strategic Research team. Neil is a regular speaker at national and regional industry forums. He chairs PSCA’s Retirement Industry Advisory Committee, is a member of DCIIA’s Executive Committee, and represents Mercer with EBRI’s Center for RetirementIncome. Neil obtained a B.S. from the University of Cape Town, is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and an Affiliate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He qualified as a Certified Financial Planner in South Africa, was a presenter of the Actuarial Society of South Africa's professionalism course and was Chair of the Hanson Prize Committee for the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

Carol Bogosian, A.S.A., is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and has over 30 years of experience as an actuary providing advice on defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans and retirement planning issues. Before starting her own firm, she was a principal in a major consulting firm as a senior actuary and consultant providing retirement services to individuals and corporate clients. She completed the Financial Planning Certificate program, gaining her perspective of the employee’s overall financial needs. Her current interests are in improving financial education and literacy in the U.S. She has published articles for the Plan Sponsor Council of America and WISER and has spoken publicly at various professional associations on retirement and financial planning topics. She previously served on the Pension Section Council and currently serves on the Post Retirement Needs and Risk Committee of the Society of Actuaries and the Chicago Bar Associations’ Joint Task Force on Women and Aging. She also serves on the Employee Benefits Advisory Board for The John Marshall Law School.
