RETI 2.0 Objectives The Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act of 2015 (Chapter 547, Statutes of 2015) increases the RPS to at least 50 percent of retail sales and doubles the energy efficiency savings by 2030. New investments in the state’s electric transmission system will likely be necessary to meet energy and environmental policy goals. Better planning and coordination across the state and the West will be required for evaluating energy infrastructure requirements. To facilitate electric transmission coordination and planning, the agencies introduced the Renewable Energy Transmission Initiative 2.0.
