highlands is the cool and misty

Nuwara Eliya tea region. Uniquely,

lying at 6,000 feet, the effects of

the two annual monsoons felt in

the country are experienced here.

During these few short weeks, the

strong winds desiccate the plant

and make this seasonal tea

exceptionally aromatic. Crisp, light-

To the east of Ceylon's mountainous

area, at an altitude of 3,000 feet, is the

Uva tea region. From July to August,

the vigorous monsoon winds and dry

weather have a magical aroma-

enhancing effect on the tea plants

that flourish here.

Specially selected from the season's

short harvest, this Uva variety is one

for true tea connoisseurs. Full-bodied,

thick and slightly astringent, with an

exceptional fragrance.
